About Us

The Office of Academic Affairs serves Long Island University's central mission of "access and excellence" in higher education by providing leadership in all aspects of academic life within a multi-campus institution.

Under the direction of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the OAA coordinates LIU's academic operations including program development and curriculum assessment, academic budgeting and workload management, faculty re-appointment and tenure review, research grants, and teaching and learning initiatives.

Faculty Promotion & Tenure Review Information

Faculty Personnel Summary Form 2008-2009 - Word document; added 8/8/08

To fill-out the Faculty Personnel Summary Form:

1) Click on the name of the form above.

2) Choose "Save" on the File Download Menu. Take note of what folder you save the Summary Form on your computer.

3) Open up Microsoft Word, and open up the Summary Form from where you saved it on your computer.

4) Type in the appropriate information on your form using Microsoft Word.

5) When you are ready to save your work on the Summary Form, choose "Save As..." from the Microsoft Word menu and include the faculty name on the document for futher reference. The document will be saved in the place you chose on your computer.
